Magnetic Boy Frames

I have been busily making a variety of magnetic framed art projects. Here are some magnetic frames that I made for little boy's rooms. Magnets can be used on these frames to post pictures, art work, notes, etc. I can also personalize frames with a name, so e-mail me if you would like to order one. These 8 x 10 easel frames with 3 magnets sell for $15.

Magnetic Calendar

I got a request for a magnetic calendar for my neice's b-day. This was a fun and challenging project, but now that I know what works and what doesn't I am excited to make more! This calendar is in a 14.5" x 14.5" wood frame. I used bottle caps for the numbers and chipboard and paper to make the months. I will be selling these for $35, so e-mail me if you would like to order one and let me know what colors you would like for me to use and if you would prefer a white frame or a dark brown frame.

Life Journal

Wow, I can't believe it has been over a month since I have posted anything. I have so many fun things to share and am not sure where to start. I have been busily working on b-day gifts for friends and family as well as several projects for a local craft fair coming up. I guess I will start with a b-day gift idea I put together for several friends and family.

I wanted to come up with something personal and unique, so I designed a Life Journal. Each one of us is made up of stories and a lot of times we don't take the time to write them down or even share them, so we forget them. I designed a journal with several pages of questions about childhood all the way to the here and now. After all these stories are OUR stories and no one elses. God made each of us special, one-of-a-kind and our life story IS worth sharing! Here are some pictures of a couple of the journals that I made.

Handmade Cards

It has been awhile since I sat down to just make cards. Splitcoaststampers had a Virtual Stamp Night recently, so I decided to take the opportunity to make some cards! Here are a few that I made.

Smile it's your day!
There are several b-days this month, so I wanted to come up with a fun and easy card. Here is an easle card that I decided to make. I had fun using a new stamp from "It's your Day" set from The Angel Company.

Thanks card
This card I made for a challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to try and use only the colors Amber and Purple. I had fun using the clear heat embossing technique with the "Aged Ornaments" stamp from The Angel Company.

Pumpkin Hello
Here is another card that I made for a challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to use water somehow on the card. For the background I used my brayer and rolled it with three different colors, spritzed with water and rolled it on cream colored cardstock. I stamped the pumkins and colored them in by using my color pencils dipped in water.

Friendship lightens every burden
This last card was for a "BRAVE" challenge. B - Use blue, R - Use ribbon, A - Accent, preferably with something shiny, V - Use vellum, & E - Use an embellishment. I had fun using my "A Child's Year" Cricut cartridge and with heat embossing with silver.

Counter/Desk Organizer

Lately I have been trying to find ways to reuse the many food boxes our family goes through and I came across this Oranizer idea. I used an empty microwave popcorn box.

Covered it with a solid earth tone color paper.

Then I embellished the front with paper from The Angel Company, ribbon and used the Storybook Cricut cartridge to cut the paper design and the flower tabs used on the dividers.

The tabs say: Bills, Mail, Receipts, and Other. I love to have a place for everything and everything in its place, so I think this will come in handy on a kitchen counter or desk to help keep things organized. :)
